Clown Tattoo Designs - Sickest Tattoo Ever? Read This and Find Out
0 comments Posted by nona malla at 6:16 PMClowns are the embodiment of laughter and humor. Portrayed as having constantly smiling faces, this character is a very popular tattoo design for both males and females. The original pattern for the modern clown is the jester which is also the symbol portrayed on the Joker card. During the time of kings and queens, the jester's role is to entertain the people of the court. Because it resembles happiness, clowns are often inked in different colors, infusing the lively factor that it is famous for.
However, not all clowns are of the funny variety. Some versions of clown tattoo designs show the sinister side of clowns. Like Batman's archenemy - The Joker - clowns may also be modified in such a way that they emit malicious vibes. Sometimes, clowns can be as scary as they are funny as evidenced by Stephen King's IT.
Because of this more sinister side to clowns, men as well as women are drawn to the symbol. Evidence shows that those who are familiar with clowns are fascinated with both sides of the clown persona. Still, this does not erase the fact that clowns are more popularly known for their lighthearted antics. Bearing this in mind, most people use clown tattoo designs to remind themselves of the happy things in life. It may be used as a reminder to take things easy while looking for the silver lining in every cloud.
Clown tattoo designs are often made using various color combinations in reference to their cheerful persona. The usual colors used range from red, orange, yellow and blue. However, it is also common for tattoo enthusiasts to use the color grey or black for the whole design. This is usually done to depict the sinister side of the clowns. Personal touches on the basic design are also possible. For example, some clown faces are cut in half with one side showing a happy face and the other showing a teary eye. Depending on the person, this may represent the opposite sides of life or the conflicting personalities of each individual. In truth, clown tattoo designs can be interpreted in numerous ways. The clown's face is subject to various emotions that can be easily captured by a good tattoo artist. Some of the most popular ones include evil clowns, masked, wicked, skull, gangster, joker and flame-haired clowns.
The option of having a full bodied clown or just the clown's face is up to you. Because of this, the available body parts to place a clown tattoo is numerous. Popular placements include the wrist, shoulder and lower back.
Clowns have been deeply enmeshed in history and have created quite an impact in modern culture. This is probably why most people are fascinated with this enigmatic character, opting to have clowns inked on their skin. With the variety of facial expressions and color combinations that can be done with clown tattoos, it is no wonder that people are drawn to this symbol. For example, it can portray an emotion that may indirectly refer to an individual's inner personality.
There are two types of people in the world of tattoos: the first is those who get one or two somewhat small, well thought out (or maybe not so well thought out), tattoos for a couple reasons. And the second is those who get tattooed to fulfill a deeper meaning and often have several or more tattoos. Tattoos address an individual's personal experiences and will most likely tell us what's important to that individual.
The first group of people that get tattooed are those that want to fit in or feel accepted by a larger peer group such as friends, colleagues, and organizations that they are involved with. Another often more common reason for this group, is that these people get tattooed out of rebellion. This group often gets tattooed when they are adolescents because of the conflicts over identity and to show their control of their own bodies. Tattoos have to be seen before someone can get the idea to get one done and the current medias interest with tattoos strongly fuels this system. Celebrities tattoos are constantly being showcased in movies, magazines, TV shows, and all other forms of media which heavily influences adolescents decisions in getting one.
The second group of people are those who get tattooed because it means something very personal to them and helps them express their thoughts, beliefs, and ideals as well as commemorate a special memory or loved one. These people often have a larger number of tattoos and sometimes even choose to cover their whole bodies. This is obviously the more outrageous group that has a deeper understanding of what tattoos used to stand for and think less about the stigmas surrounding tattoos in our current times.
Tattoos have been around for thousands of years and have been put on everyone from prison gangs to aristocrats. Just like anything else, there are certain trends and cycles that tattoos go through. Nowadays, tattoos have become much more complex and include almost any piece of 2D art that you can find that can fit onto a part of the human body as well as a full range of tattoo lettering. In the last 10-15 years they have become much more widely accepted and people from all walks of life now sport tattoos.

From an article by Martha Dresser published by the Daytona Beach Morning Journal, May 7, 1977 [excerpt]:
Sonny Houston and Barney Dorsey met in 1948 at a Gardner, Mass. Radio station where they had separate shows. Deciding to join forces, they toured the country, sometimes with sidemen, for sponsors such as General Mills and International Harvester. They worked at many radio stations.
« We had to keep thje jokes cleaner then, » reminisces Houston.
« Nicey nice, » Dorsey mocks.
« They liked corney jokes like « How did your potatoes turn out ? ». Houston does a split second vaudeville pause. « They didn’t turn out. I had to dig them out ! ».
The two comedians had bad breaks and good ones. They say they did the song « Sloop John B » in a beach party movie. « Daytona Beach Weekend, » only to see the Beach Boys version of the song become a hit. On the other hand, their « Malaguena » and « Green Door » were playded on Dick Clark’s « American Bandstand. » Other movies included a racing picture, « Hell’s 400 » and a stint with Cesar Romero in « We Shall Return. » They’ve appeared with many big names, from Tex Ritter to Eddie Gorme.
Recordings of their act range from 78s on the Continental label to the Capitol label albums and tapes they sell now. They also have done television, doing a remote from Nashville for « The Tonight Show » when Steve Allen was host.
The comedians decided to settle in Daytona Beach in 1962, working at the Castawy Beach Motel and Kings Cellar before starting at Aku Tiki Inn.

As it turns out, that was a stock cover from Rite Records. I chose it because it seemed like a Yes or Led Zeppelin kind of look. [...] The Dayspring record was a home-grown affair - the entire recording budget was $315. The typesetting on the back was donated, the record label was hand drawn. I was 18 yrs old, with no money and no job - but a big desire to praise the Lord. I still think we made a good choice - the cover still looks cool - at least we don't have any printing on the front! :-)Ken Scott :
It should be obvious from listening to loud psychy rockin’ cuts like ‘Joy Comes In The Morning’ and ‘Eyes Of The Lord’ that this Ohioan had access to a Glass Harp album or two. Good job in the production yet holds to a totally homemade and primitive sound with jammin’ acoustic bluesy folkrocking maneuvers in the league of Randy Matthews, Ron Moore, and Mike Johnson, sometimes choosing to handle all instruments (guitar, bass, piano, percussion) himself like on the magical ‘I Was In The Spirit’. ‘Rock Of Ages’ boasts a crude electric blues riff with raw basement vibe and lengthy leads. Closes with a raucous, hand-clappin’, buncha-folks-havin’-a-party version of ‘Down By The Riverside’. Unreal cover art depicting mountainous landscape with orange sky and giant green sun. 1000 made. Since many people have a hard time deciding what tattoo they want to get, they tend to look at pictures of tattoos. For this, they will either go online or read through some books which can give them an idea of the tattoo style they want to get inked with. And because the number of people that have tattoos nowadays is not going any lower, more and more books are being produced for the sole reason of providing tattoo design inspirations.
Picking out the tattoo design you want can be a big challenge. While there are some people who already have a clear idea of what they would want, there are others who do not know and even have any idea of what it is they would like. But they know one sure thing: they want a tattoo. For this reason, many people take a look at tattoo pictures which they can find on the internet, books, and even some magazines. Also, they can look at the tattoos of some people they see and remember what they look like so that they could have them done on their own body as well.
Once people have found the tattoo they like, they normally schedule an initial consultation with the tattoo artist so that they can determine if their dream tattoo is possible. When they are going to the artist, they normally take along a picture with them or some sketches they have made. In order to get the best opinion, it is advised to visit several tattoo parlours. When choosing which tattoo artist to get, the decision must not always depend on who is the cheapest. This is because the cheapest tattoo artists might lack a good quality from their work. At least by selecting a more expensive artist, you can be guaranteed the quality and design of your tattoo is worth it.
The same principle is true when you are choosing a tattoo. If you want a high quality design, you have to make a good choice. Otherwise, you will end up getting a tattoo that you don't like that much. You will need to make a lot of research in order to do this. But you should avoid the free forums and websites since they can make designs look too generic. It will be very hard to find a design that is truly unique. For this reason, pictures of tattoos can be seen from several tattoo subscription websites.
