 1. savannah. i'm in love with the spanish moss!
2. me with the boy.
3. i was telling lamar about the extreme homemakeover that happened in savannah and then a second later spotted it! isn't it beautiful? ty pennington and the team did a great job. i'm loving that fancy woodwork on the porch.
4. a trip to fresh market = lots of yummy foods like mango salsa, blueberries, delicious fresh-ground coffee, and this tazo tea.
5. then we came home and made this sweet, sticky, and spicy chicken. y'all have got to try this recipe! we made bacon wrapped asparagus, too. [except, we were too hungry and skipped the wrapping part]
6. then, we snuggled up, watched the food network and ate the yummiest blueberries in the whole world.

now, for the moment you have all been waiting for...

meet lucy

my room mate and i rescued her from a storm drain right outside of our apartment. she has been living there for months! poor thing. she is definitely not your average kitten. she is wild, but i love her. it is kinda funny because lamar has a kitten that was rescued from a storm drain last year, is the same age as lucy, and looks just like her. long lost sisters? maybe.

so, how was your weekend?

2. this soap smelled heavenly. my favorite was lemon verbena.
3. we each got a raspberry white mocha from the little cafe. delish!
4. tree tunnel.
5. sweet chloe with her flower.
6. chloe with her little squirrel friend.
7.again, the trees!
8. apparently this is the sign that everyone sticks their "OT" stickers. what does OT stand for!?
9. pretty berries.
10. me and chloe freezing in the cold wind!

earlier this week i met up with chloe from me, myself, & jeff. she lives in savannah with her hubby and i live in a small town 45 minutes from there for school...so we are really close! she was the first person to start following me, so she is really dear to my heart. plus, she is a really amazing person [not to mention, her blog is super cute]. it was funny, while we were talking i felt as thought i had known her for years! anyways, we met at the amazing paris market, went shopping, and wandered around the parks downtown. i had such a lovely time and i can't wait to see her again!

The Paris Market

A few weeks ago, me and my boyfriend Lamar took a little trip to Savannah. First, we went to B&D Burger and then we walked up and down Broughton Street and shopped our hearts out. The best part of the trip was this ah-mazing shop called The Paris Market. I could live in this shop forever and ever and be perfectly happy. It has everything from furniture to pumpkin potpouri (which smelled lovely and I am so mad at myself for not buying a bag) to one-of-a-kind wrapping paper. If you are ever in Savannah, you have to do a little shopping here.

P.S: Sorry for being away for so long, I am finishing up teaching for the semester and then I will be back to posting regularly. :)

Have a lovely week!

Sunday Photo

How would you like to have this as your walkway from the street to your front door? I stumbled upon this charming "yard" while wandering around Savannah with my dear friend Julie.  I really wanted to walk in and look around, but figured that would not be a good idea. :)

Have a lovely week, my friends.

Have a fun weekend

Tomorrow I am going to Savannah to do some shopping with my amazing friend Julie--finally some girl time and shopping time.  Yesterday my computer chair broke underneath me [maybe I should lay off the candy corn] so my main mission tomorrow will be looking for a new chair. I'm thinking about this chair from Target. I love the animal print! What do you think?
This week has been incredibly draining, so the break will be much appreciated. What are you doing this weekend?

The Sartorialist

I just found out that Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist will be in Savannah this weekend. I have literally had dreams of being photographed by him. So, it looks like I will be spending my Saturday there. If you are in town this weekend and see me just walking up and down Abercorn or River Street, you know why.

love.
