I only just got the Wii. :( Should I have listened to IGN when they kept claiming the Wii is dead?
Regardless of new systems coming out (or what stupid IGN says), the Wii is still a very fun system. I mean, hell, I still play games on my N64 and Dreamcast quite often, and even my SNES as well. Just because a system isn't "New" anymore doesn't mean it is all of a sudden broken and worthless. There are a lot of fun games on the Wii. Enjoy them.
Good point.
I still haven't finished Ocarina of Time (GC version played on the Wii) and then I've got Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.
Only concern is how long Wii online will stay online.
Business Card Holder, NameYes. But remember once you do that you will not be able to modify the project if later you want to change the exported file - you will have to start all over.Ah yes, thanks. Maybe I will keep the projects but delete the events.
how to read a credit cardIf i had to pick there, it would be the T2i. The T3 is really basic and much lower quality that you will outgrow it quickly and I would say that the T3i doesn't add that much over the T2i for the price difference- just the standard faster, crisper, etc. Like I've said in other threads, I'm not a huge fan of vari-angle screens anymore, as they become a weak point on the cameras after a couple of years.
The 18-55 wouldn't be my first choice of lens for any model. They really feel quite cheap (read- plastic-y) and not very much reach. I would look for one of the kits with the 18-135 (or similar) or if you can find one - a 17-85 which is a really solid lens. Even if you have to pick up the T2i as a body and lens separately, it would be a good way to go.

Credit Card middot; Mini USBHi all,
I have a late 2007 24" Al iMac with BT and AirPort. I just ordered a Kindle Wi-Fi only from Amazon. I don't have (or want) a wireless modem.
Anyone know if I will be able to access the web by running the Kindle wefi to the iMac BT? I think both use the 802.11b/g/n standard.
Thanks for any info.

ill probably upgrade at the next case overhaul. i just hope my mid'10 is worth some decent money then, so i dont have to spend that much out of pocket.
it will always be worth more just before a refresh... if you wait until a redesign is released your machine becomes less desirable and less valuable.

I know that it would offer great savings if you can preserve the life of your battery and you can start by unplugging the cable when it is fully charged and waiting for it to drain before recharging it.

i think its kinda late for this but...yeah it should be possible everywhere that there is an at&t store or an apple store
four credit card holders,And even with the hassles of city parking, it will be infinitely better than making the trek out to the Chermside store. I guess it depends what side of town you're on though. I look forward to a thirty minute round trip instead of 90 minute round trip.
Sorry New Zealanders, South Australians and all those who don't have access to a real Apple Store. They are awesome. The first time I saw one in Osaka I nearly wet myself.

i can do anything with beejive that i can do when i've used whatsapp, but have the advantage that i can also talk to people that don't have smart phones.....
BBM is a gimmick that is dying, look at the fact that RIM are now working on making BBM work on android and iOS... desperation there....
Really? You are always logged in and can't be logged out? Every single one of your contacts using those desktop services are always logged in as well and you can always communicate with them via that method!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!
The beauty of a mobile IM application is that you KNOW you can communicate with someone via that method no matter what. You don't have to check first if they're "logged in" (then if they're not logged in go back and send an SMS instead) b/c you and your contacts are always logged in.
Throw in the fact you can see when the message leaves your phone, gets delivered, when a contact is typing, fast file sharing, group chats, location sharing, broadcast messages etc and it's not even close to the same thing. Sorry.
credit card in feel /size.[I think that is the English way. I'm currently living in England, and it seems like they get to things whenever they feel like it. Basically a tea break comes before anything else] hahahahahahaha LOL :)

What are your sources? :D
imprint of a credit card,Why the faffing about? You can't install an App Store ipa (free or otherwise) if you don't have a patched MobileInstallation file (a-la AppSync).
The source is up on GitHub, you should be able to import it in to Xcode, compile it yourself and install it on your device.

What do you mean put it back to sleep? When I get the black screen I can't see anything on my screen and closing the MBA and opening it again a min or two later doesn't do anything at all. The only fix is a hard reset for me by holding the power button for like 2 minutes.
If I shine a bright light on the screen, I can see what is going on. Actually, I just know that pressing the power button and then the 'S' button puts a Mac to sleep. I then just let it sit for like 20 seconds, hit the space bar and it woke with the screen lit up.
I don't know that this method works every time. Sometimes I need to reboot the Mac. You do that buy hitting the power button and then the 'R' button.
This DVD contains a wealth of powerful card magic. The material is extremely visual and stunning. The routines are practical, and designed for real-worldI bet this thread will turn into a race thing also.
I think you just did that.
So shall I just cut straight to Hitler and Godwin's law?

Intel came up with the BTX form factor a little while ago. I have not heard from it since. Do a lot of PCs use this motherboard style? How about Dell?
Is it a possibility that future Macs will use it?
Gateway has been using the BTX for almost a year I believe.
Could any future Macs use a BTX MB? I suppose that anything is possible- who would have imagined Mac OS running on intel processors?!
Anyone else seeing serious Safari stability issues in DP2 Updates 0 through 2?

key west, never been there but it looks nice. :)
You should! It's gorgeous and so is the drive to get there. I got a bit sentimental at that particular photo. I drove all over that state with e.
A large part of MacRumors is speculating about rumors in the discussion forum. Users enjoy debating about the validity and likelihood of rumors, ultimately staking their claim about whether or not they believe them. The problem is that there is never any meaningful resolution to the discussion. True or false, discussions about rumors end up forgotten and all the points users have argued amount to nothing.
What's missing is a persistent element based on the sensibility of a user's discussion - an effect that doesn't die with a single thread. We should have a system that uses a metric to rate how accurate a user has been in predicting the validity of rumors.
The premise is that for every rumor headline, there be an associated feature in which a user can vote on the validity of said rumor. When the time comes that the rumor is confirmed true or false, MacRumors can award points to a user's "Reputation" based on their affiliation. These points will be displayed on each post along with the other information for each user.
It can implemented like a more descriptive version of the current positive/negative rating system. It can possibly be used to replace it. It can be a simple plus/minus system (+1 point when correct, -1 point when incorrect) or it can be a system of bidding points based on how confident a person feels (like final jeopardy).
It would be a very fun way expand the website and has the following benefits:
1) Rewards users with a metric recognized in the community based upon their accuracy on past rumors.
2) Lends weight to opinions within a discussion.
3) Based completely on users opting-in - no one is required to vote to participate in a discussion or put their reputation on the line.
4) Isn't based on users rating each other so it doesn't become a mechanism of relatiation, popularity, etc.
5) Can be used with the system of site contributors, potentially allowing them to reset negative popularity (plus/minus) or reset their points (bidding system) each year.
EDIT: intended to include point 4 but didn't remember it until the post below
